Description

This industrial-strength card printer generates enormous quantities of ID cards at a brisk pace. Designed for critical, high-volume applications, the Zebra P640i is ideal for producing government and military ID cards, key cards for security-sensitive facilities, airport ID cards and other applications that require durable, tamper-evident ID cards. Plus, professional print quality comes standard with the P640i. A unique print method in which the card moves across the printhead and automatic pre-print card cleaning ensure that your color images will appear crisp and clean every time.

The Zebra P640i laminates one or both sides of your cards, so that your cards will be more difficult to alter, will last longer and provide a professional appearance. This printer uses linerless lamination, which significantly reduces the cost of overlaminate and is waste-free. This becomes even more important if you opt to use more expensive, but more secure, holographic or UV overlaminate instead of clear (custom designs available). Plus, printing, laminating and optional encoding (magnetic stripe, contact smart card and proximity card encoding are all available options) take place in one pass to expedite the process; in one hour, the P640i can produce 120 full-color, double-sided and laminated cards.

Because the P640i is designed with security in mind, it comes with an ID/Log feature, which builds a customizable card transactions record in the printer's host computer for precautionary monitoring. If you like, you may take advantage of the built-in Ethernet option, so that an authorized user may print from anywhere on a network while you keep the printer itself in a secure location. And because the card input hopper holds 150 cards, you can leave the printer alone while it works.
