With the HDP5000, Fargo has delivered an ID card printer fit for any application. The HDP5000 is powerful, versatile, and durable enough to handle print jobs of any size. Its key attributes include an innovative high definition printing process, and a modular design that allows the system to be easily upgrade if your ID card program requires additional security features down the road. The printer also features built-in Ethernet connectivity, making it perfect for organization operating in a networked environment.

The Fargo HDP5000 using a unique high definition printing process in which images and text are first printed on a special film, then fused to the card’s surface. The resulting cards are vivid and detailed with image quality resembling that of a glossy magazine. Along with producing attractive ID cards, high definition printing also provides an additional layer of protection from wear and tear and tampering, and is also the ideal method for printing on technology cards with uneven surfaces.

Because the HDP5000 is built with a modular design, it can be upgraded in-field should your needs change at any point. Optional field-upgradeable modules are available for duplex printing, single and dual-sided lamination, magnetic stripe encoding, smart card encoding, and proximity card technology.
